Launched in October 2024, FOUND is a brand new streaming service dedicated to the found footage subgenre of horror. Seeing a gap in the market, FOUND was started by a filmmaker husband and wife team (whose film Invited is on the platform!) with the intention of producing a worldwide accessible streaming service platforming independent filmmakers and underseen films.
With new titles being added to the service every month, there is a whole library of films to satiate the most hungry of found footage fans, and the month of February is no different.
Directed by Benji Stinson and hitting the platform on February 3rd is I Joined A Cult (2024) in which a journalism student joins a cult armed with a hidden camera in order to expose their deepest secrets. February 5th sees The Last Five Days (2020), directed by Clay Moffatt, added in which two film students investigate a story in which lies a connection with a series of violent deaths, when an unknown force begins to become increasingly out of control.
Mothman (2022) will be available from February 7th, and centres around Amanda and her boyfriend Tim who set out to investigate her brother’s disappearance which leads them to the myth that is Mothman! On February 11th, the world streaming release of UrbEx (2025) hits FOUND. Directed by William J Howard III, the film details the discovery of cameras thought to belong to an urban explorer and contains footage of a disappearance in a long-abandoned chemical factory that took the lives of dozens of employees a decade earlier Dark Amazon (2014) hits the service on February 13th in which things turn deadly when a film crew documents a research team exploring the Amazon rainforest. For those who like their found footage films extreme, Hate Crime (2012) streaming from 17th February is ideal. Filming their son's birthday celebrations, a Jewish family falls victim to a home invasion perpetrated by a group of nazis.
Wolves In The Woods is available from the 19th of February. Directed by Michael Ramova, the film depicts two sisters who hire the help of a local hunter in order to find a werewolf in a nearby forest. The world streaming of What Happened To Suzy (2024) occurs on February 21st. Directed by James Ersted, the film sees a locksmith enlist the help of a documentary crew in investigating the disappearance of his sister…with terrifying results. Followers (2021) directed by Marcus Harben sees a social media influencer attempt to gain fame and fortune after discovering his house is haunted (U.S & Canada only). On February 27th Obayifo Project (2024) hits the streaming service in which a group of filmmakers intend to document a live African invocation ritual.
